In 2009, the New Orleans Jazz Vipers morphed into two new bands. You can hear both bands playing regularly on Frenchmen Street in New Orleans.

The band New Orleans Cottonmouth Kings features six former members of the most recent line-up of the New Orleans Jazz Vipers: John Rodli - guitar and vocals, Robert Snow - bass, Bruce Brackman - clarinet, Charlie Fardella - trumpet, Matt Rhody - violin, and Tom Saunders - bass sax.
